landlord writes all tenants in building and tells them to pack all their belongings, pets, and stay out of their apartment Friday while they spray inside and under cabinets for pests/pest control?
im all for maintaining pest free living but shouldn't they be allowed to only treat the exterior of the unit? the lease mentions nothing of mandatory pest control requirements, only scheduled maintenance and even w/ that, them changing the ac filter or checking smoke alarms is not intrusive to your living conditions. kicking people out all day whenever they feel like it doesn't sound legal to me
i was used to them having you request an inside pest treatment if desired while they only regularly maintained exterior treatment. maybe there's a pest infestation somewhere and this is extreme measures to wipe it out

apartment problem!! please help?
About a week ago someone went into my apartment at 6:30 in the morning. i was home feeding my newborn. once the person heard me they let. they had a key to the apartment and let themselves in. my landlord changed my lock. the a few days later my landlord went into my apartment without my permission and without letting me know just to change the ac filter. they said they can come in without letting me know within reasonable hours (9-5).
i am a new a single mother with a newborn. and with them having a key and someone breaking in i just dont feel safe. i am constantly paranoid and scared at night because i think someone might come into the apartment. i dont know what to do. i really want to break my lease an d move, please help? any advice

am I right about what I think about not having kids?
if you do not have kids to me is like early retirement.
you can go to college, get a good job, make decent money, but then you can just get a cheap apartment and it would be like a nursing home.
the landlord checks your ac filter, smoke detector, and everything that breaks will be fixed because that is included on your rent, so basically the landlord is your doctor at the nursing home.
you don't have kids, you don't live with anything, its just you and the whole world in your hands to see with nothing or anyone there to stop you, you can do anything you want whenever you want, go where ever you want, when ever you want. the freedom is amazing!!!! so it is to me like early retirement because you only take care of yourself for the rest of your life, and you work to pay for medical insurance and stuff, many parents can not wait for kids to move out of the house because they want to do whatever they want at their own privacy of their home, but if you're single, you can do that ASAP as long as you have a job and can afford the rent, sure, the apartment will never be yours but when you get old, that nursing home won't be yours either so what difference does it make? single no kids to me means the ultimate freedom, EVER!!!!
