GallBladder Problems - The Way To Make It Healthy

The human gall bladder is one of the numerous important internal organs. The gall bladder is part of the digestive system. It is intimately connected with both the stomach and with the small intestine. Some may wonder whether or not it is possible to live without the gall bladder. It is, but of course it is best to keep it. It is easier for a human being to live without the gall bladder than a lung or the kidneys, but it is far harder than going without one of the wisdom teeth.

The gall bladder is a small organ tucked away into the digestive system. Its main purpose is the contain and to condense pure bile. Most people have heard of bile but may not understand precisely what it does. The benefit of bile, is that it helps the body to digest fats. Normally, it passes through a small passageway into the small intestine.

There are a very small number of things which can even go wrong with the gall bladder. The most common is the gall stone. This is a mineral deposit. These cause terrible pain. The gall bladder can become enflamed, and swollen. The passage between the gall bladder and the small intestine can become obstructed.

All three of these ailments can be prevented by diet. The key factor is to eat a low fat diet. Illnesses of the gall bladder are mainly caused by excessive stress. What to remove from the diet in order to help to have a healthy gall bladder. No more French fries or fried bread. No more red meat - or as little of it as possible. In case it suddenly seems as if you can't have anything you like, there is some good news. Fish, poultry, dairy, rice, wheat, bread, the fruits and vegetables found in salads and many dishes - even deserts are still allowed.

If there are problems with the gall bladder it will hurt a lot, in the abdomen. The pain is normally intense and severe. In the event of such a difficulty, get to a hospital or doctor as quickly as possible.

There are treatments for gall bladder problems. Some are more invasive than others. Surgeries and any medicine where a built in organ is removed should be cause for concern. There are noninvasive alternatives, but these can only be effective if the trouble is spotted soon enough. There are herbal remedies and it is also possible to use acupuncture to relieve people of gall stone problems. The best herbs to use are the choleretic herbs: milk thistle, globe artichoke, dandelion root and turmeric.

In extreme cases, surgeons can remove gall stones using laparoscopic surgery. In the very worst of conditions, surgeons can remove the entire gall bladder, which will influence the future life of the patient. While this procedure is 'survivable' patients are strongly advised to seek the noninvasive or least invasive therapy for any and all ailments.
