Storage Units - A Smart Way To De-Clutter

If you are planning to de-clutter your home and are trying to search for a storage option, you may find it very hectic. This is because there are a lot of storage units that it becomes very difficult to choose the one that suits one's needs. The option of self storage provides you ample space for your prized possessions and keeps them safe as long as you want.

Storage business in today's world has expanded to almost every part of the world. By the end of 2007, there were about 52, 000 self storage units in the United States alone and around 9, 514 companies were dealing in the business. The scenario is the same world over.

Storage business has seen a major up thrust in Canada, as well. The country owing to its fun loving, working class offers the following types of storage units –

1. Personal Storage – A unit that can be used to store your personal goods can be termed a personal storage unit. It is more like a huge cabinet or a garage. These units offer various options to choose from in terms of size. Right from the small size to hold a jewel casket to the size that can house two cars, you can hire space as per your requirement. Although it may take a little extra time to finalize the right unit that will fit your needs, when you do find one, you can sigh with relief.
2. Business Storage – In case you are planning to shift your office and you have a huge pile of books, files, and data to be stored. It may be because either your new office is small and unable to accommodate all your stuff or you do not want to mess your office with your huge number of files. In such a case it is better to hire a business storage unit that can accommodate your business things in the most organized manner.
3. Outdoor Storage – The outdoor warehouses can be used to keep the things that have been cluttering your yard for years. These types of units have cheaper rentals as compared to the indoor cargos and are perfect for garden equipment including things like shovels, lawn mowers, rakes, hoes, lawn seeds, fertilizers and the like. Your fishing equipment can also be stored safely at these units.
4. Climate Controlled Storage – These units are unique in the sense that they have this feature of controlled climate. If you are about to store your linen, chest wood furniture, or leather items, it is mandatory for you to hire a unit that has the facility of climate control else your stuff will get adversely affected.

Now, which kind of warehouse you choose depends solely upon your requirement. But before renting a cargo space, you must consider the following points –

1. How far is it from your residence?
2. What type of security measures it offers?
3. Do they offer transportation service?
4. Would you get 24-hour access to the unit?
5. Would they pack your stuff for you?
6. Do they have video surveillance? And so on.

Check out all these points and settle down for a warehouse that offers you maximum comfort at the most affordable price. One golden rule to ensure best service, least possible rent, and utmost security is to research well and pick a storage unit with maximum facilities.

How do I keep the cold air from my AC unit in my house? I think I have leaks?
So i live in an older house now for the past year in florida. I have found that over the past months, it started to get warm and I begun using the AC (central air). I put the AC on 78 and it just sits there on the automatic setting. However, my bill sits at around $400 per month ever since I started using it. My typical bill before then was around $100-$130 month, in this 3 bdroom house. I started looking at the doors to enter and leave the house, and I have felt from the outside around the bottom, top and side hinges of the door cold air leaving my house. Im just wondering what can I do to seal this in? Does HopeDepot or any other home improvement store have anything that I can use to assist with this?
