Central Air conditioning, in simple language cools more as compared to the Mini Split Air conditioners. The drawback that arises with Central Air conditioning is that it cools even those areas which require no cooling. Hence, there is more pressure on the electrical unit. Also, the unit cannot the exact area to cool. This is where the Mini Split Air Conditioning is better. Since there is a specified area to cool, the electrical unit can estimate the usage and hence your collective charges are lower. Mini Split Air Conditioning is feasible for apartments

But, it is nevertheless, utmost important to consider your option irrespective of this factor.
Usually the functioning of these ACs accompanies the sound of flowing water. As pleasing as this sound is, do not let yourself get worried because of it. Ventilation system requirements in NYS?
The townhouse that I live in has a questionable duct system ventilation that I just discovered and I would like to know if it is in violation of NYS code?
My kitchen ventilation and my dryer ventilation ducts connect in the basement and run together to the outside of the house. What is happening is that when I turn the dryer on the lint from the dryer comes out through the kitchen venting and I have seen a buildup of dryer lint in my microwave. I can also feel the heat from the dryer when I walk past the stove/microwave vents.
When I brought this to the attention of the maintenance staff they told me to just turn on the kitchen vents whenever I run the dryer and that will push the dryer air out the correct path. This doesn't sound right to me and even when I do this I still see a small buildup of dryer lint in the microwave. My question is, are there specific codes in NYS that I can refer the management company to in an effort to get them to properly correct this?
Next issue: I live in a two-story townhouse while the other townhouses in this complex are all one-story. The heating/air conditioning system is designed for the one-story townhouses. (I was told this by the maintenance staff on at least three occasions). The problem is that the upstairs is always at least 15 degrees cooler in the winter and 15 degrees hotter in the summer than the downstairs. The maintenance staff have told me that the current heating/cooling system is not big enough to push the air to the second level and that is why I see the 15 degree difference.
My question is ...... is there a specific code that requires a minimum size heating/cooling system for a dwelling of a specific square footage?
