What kind of tradesman do I need?
I live in Sydney Australia in a timber house that I think was built in the 1950s.
At some stage, a previous owner has removed one of the windows to install an airconditioner - one of those old, noisy ones. The airconditioner has subsequently been removed (not by us) and the window space boarded up with a piece of masonite.
I want to remove the masonite and reinstate the window but I don't know what sort of tradesman I need to help.
The window is one of those that opens out from the bottom (I think it's called an awning window) and is one of a bank of three vertical windows. Each window is about 40cm wide and about 30cm high. The whole window (not just the piece of glass) has gone and a piece of timber has been placed between the space where the missing window was and the window above. Hope that makes sense.
I've looked at demolition yards but can't find a matching window so I need someone to build me a new one.
So, do I need a carpenter, a handyman or someone else?

My mom is thinking about renting her house?
My mom just got married and but she moved in with her husband 7 months ago. She listed her house for sale when she moved out, but she hasn't gotten many offers and the ones she has gotten haven't been enough.
We wanted to use the money from the house to help payback my student loans, and her retirement. But, it's not "moving". And she's still making monthly payments on it. Since my loans also need paid back this is too much money going out for my family.
I know that is why she wants to rent it out. But, we are both afraid it will cost more than it's worth to make "rentable". It's a cheap 15 year old double wide. Also, she moved in with her husband because stuff kept breaking. Like the shower, or the airconditioner. She ends having to repair the a/c every year.
Also, she lives in the middle of nowhere. How do I even go about find out about the market there or how much the place is worth as an asking price?
