What causes a central air unit not to come on?
I noticed it was extremely hot in my house and checked the outside unit. It was not running, however, the blower on the inside was running fine. I flipped the breakers thinking that could have been the problem because we had some thunderstorms earlier that day. I also replaced both 30 amp fuses in the box outside next to the central air unit. Still will not turn on at all.

Are Tempstar central air units any good? My installer is recommending a R2A3 unit.?
My central air unit went (after 16 yrs.) and my air conditioner person wants to sell me a Tempstar R2A3 unit. Is this unit any good or is it an entry level unit? I don't want a lower-end unit.
