Central Air Alternatives?
I have a home that has radiant heat and no duct work. I know my two choices are mini-duct high velocity ac or ductless mini-split ac. I am looking to cool my home like a convention central ac would. Which system would be better for my situation?
I am looking to cool the living room, dining room, rec room, and the 3 bed rooms. If possible, I would include the washroom, main bath, and powder bath if possible. The house does have the wall space for ducts as houses in a nearby area were built by the same builder and have forced heat air and are designed identically to the ones in my immediate neighborhood. I also have an attic which makes me learn towards the mini-duct system.

How tacky is it to have an A/C window unit on the front window of a house?
I'm would like to have an A/C unit for the house I'm renting, which the prop owner will not purchase or install. The only windows big enough to hold this a/c unit are the front windows unless I buy a ductless mini split A/C which cost 2 -3 times the price I can afford and install it on a side window. Is it really that tacky to have a big a/c unit showing on the front of the house or is it not that big a deal ? Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can cover it or other A/C install options?

What is the estimated cost or range for a ductless mini split airconditioning and heating?
Either Fujitsu or mitsubishi mr. slim, whatever brand, around 1500 sq. feet home on 2 floors not too big. Old house so no duct work involved.
