What equipment is needed to pull a vacuum on a R-410a split air conditioner system?
I took a class a while back on a/c to be certified to handle refrigerant, but cant remember the names of the tools i need. I would like to know specific names of the fittings, hoses, and vacuum pump to connect to a 2ton mini split air conditioning system. The one i speak of is pre-charged with R410a refrigerant, and has a bike valve type fitting, which i believe is where i connect the vacuum pump to pull a vacuum. Im looking for the cheapest most basic setup to get me going... i probably dont even need to look at a gauge, but a single vacuum gauge would be a help... What do i need????
wow, can you please read what i wrote. i am certified, it was not much of a challenge at all. i can handle refrigerant and buy sell what i need. how about giving me a valid answer. what kind of manifold set, adapters for r410a, and vacuum pump... thanks to the people who read it all!!

Can anyone comment on and recommend a good ductless mini split air conditioning system?
I recently purchased a home that has no air conditioning. Rather than remove the iron bars from the windows to install an in-window air conditioning unit, I am considering purchasing a ductless cooling and heating system that mounts on the wall. Can anyone recommend a good manufacturer and vendor to purchase one of these? I am interested in the heating and cooling kind.
