or smaller homes or areas that are clearly marked for cooling. Also, one has to keep in mind that unless it is your private apartment, you have to consult your landlord or the owner of the property. But this drawback comes with every big installation, right?
Some people, even though it might not be a better option to install Central Air Conditioning, go ahead with this alternative simply because it is a more popular choice and much is said in the market about it. There is some thing comforting about the physical presence of a fan unit. But what if a better option for you is the Mini Split Air conditioning, then? Since, there are not many professionals who are equipped to handle these types of units, this also becomes a disadvantage. But, it is nevertheless, utmost important to consider your option irrespective of this factor.
Usually the functioning of these ACs accompanies the sound of flowing water. As pleasing as this sound is, do not let yourself get worried because of it. The Refridgerant makes a certain sound and that's it! You need to, although, regularly check the filters and electrical connections just for safety and as a precaution.

Air conditioning in a bungalow.?
I'm retired and live in a semi-detached bungalow which gets very hot during a heatwave ( I have a large conservatory), making it almost impossible to sleep at night. I live alone, so if I were to buy a mobile air conditioning unit would it be feasible to vent the hot air from one small bedroom into the hallway, rather than through a window or a hole in the wall to the outside? ( All the doors and windows in the bungalow might be closed during this period of course.) If I were to do this for only an hour (or two?), in the late evening before going to bed, in the hope that the small bedroom would remain sufficiently cool for the rest of the night afterwards, would the rest of the house become much hotter because the vented heat was not going outside? ( I'm not too concerned about feeling hot when I'm awake - I can position fans to help things there - but want to try to make sure that I can get a good night's sleep if and when another heatwave happens.)
Any alternative suggestions gratefully accepted of course, but please also let me know what you think would happen if I used my own "scenario" above.
