Continental CE- PAC 1061-1 makes whine from the compressor only when on.?
My wife and I have a Continental CE- PAC 1061-1 portable room air conditioner. It's worked great for the past year or so. Tonight I turned it on since it's really hot inside. The air compressor part seems to whine and I want to know what that meas. I have cleaned the unit's vents and emptied the water from it also. I don't know where the manual is so I figure asking on here is a lot faster.

how is double feeding done to make an additional feeding to line?
L is grey , N is black . The wall outlet wiring is conected to a remote switch, the switch is then conected to a portable room air conditioner everything works normal. I have been told to (double feed) by making an additional feed to the line. I would like to know the wiring plan for the double feed

GE Portable Room Air Conditioner is not cooling properly and drain bucket continues to fill every 2 hrs.?
I just bought a GE Portable Room Air Conditioner 8000 BTU's yesterday at Sam's. I am using it in an upstairs bedroom that is hotter than any other place in the house. It has been running for over 24 hours and it is STILL HOT!!! It is set on Maximum Cooling (High Cool & 61 degrees) I have to empty the fill bucket about every 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. It does have a drain port with a hose that I decided to put in a 5 gallon bucket for the water to drain into. It still has not drained into the bucket. Does the fill bucket have to be full first before it goes into the bucket?? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to cool this room???? I just can't believe it hasn't cooled down any!! HELP!!!!
