Why Air conditioner not heating? Heat pump not heating? ?
"Hi guys, I have a 12000BTU split system air conditioning unit installed in a small Room (27 cubic meter). The unit works great during the Summer for cooling, however during the winter season it works for around an hour and heats the space and then for some reason it starts pumping cold air from outside, the room gets quickly. Any ideas on how to fix this?"

Why is the condenser unit on when the heat is on with home A/C unit?
I have a fairly new, run-of-the-mill, split system air conditioning setup on my home. It cools down and heats up the house just fine. I do have one concern which I think isn't quite correct. When the "heat" is on, the condenser outside is also on. I thought the condenser was just for evaporating heat from the refrigerant? I actually have two units. One for upstairs and one for downstairs. They are not connected in any way nor are they similar units although my other unit does not do the same thing. When my other unit is heating, the condenser is not on. Is it possible my other unit has been setup incorrectly?
